First Day of Class

My first day of class
of my new spring semester
it went by quite fast
we'll see how the rest goes

Had to wake up very early
for me at 9:40 a.m.
I got up in a hurry
and was greeted by my new friend

He jumped up onto me
and we walked around
but as far as I could see
it was time to get out

I walked slowly to class
and bumped into my new roomy
she was walking home fast
in bed she hoped to be

British Literature was first
with a fellow named Okey Goode
he opened the door with a loud burst
as excitedly as he could

The class ran a bit short
but was fun none the less
we only have five book reports
and zero test

International Lit was next
but Claire Davis was not there
we still got an assignment
of which I did not care

Most all of my work will be to read
but I think it can still be fun
pages and pages until my eyes bleed
I can't wait to be done.

Its 2009
I thought I could rhyme
and entire blog for fun
I hope I can get it done

I moved from Jax a year ago
and time hasn't been going slow
school has been alright
but I see no end in sight

I'm hoping to major in english
but if I had just one wish
it would be to play guitar all the time
but I need a job cause I don't have a dime

I plan to start teaching music soon
guitar lessons teaching rockin' tunes
I've done it before the pay was great
I just hope people want to participate

I'll still probably have to get a job fast
cause my Christmas money isn't going to last
I think I can pay bills this month
though lack of food has turned me into a runt

an extra roommate will make things nice
we can turn up the heat and afford more than rice
she will help me keep things clean
she has the only cat I know who is never mean

but classes should be fun I'm with Victor again
taking piano too but I don't know when
British lit and Literary Analysis
International lit will all bring calluses

but it should be a good semester over all
we will see what happens in the fall
